Dream Church Wedding

Allow me to introduce myself, I am Alexander Belen Jr. I was born on June 6, 1983 and was raised in the province of Mindoro by my loving mom and dad. We are 6 in the family including my 3 siblings namely, Tam, Anne, and April. We are not born with silver spoons on our mouth, we are not that financially blessed but we are a happy family.Just to give you a brief background of my family history, my mother Elsa was a very caring and loving wife, however she is now suffering from depression that greatly affects her social life due to the loss of my father who passed away last April 2014 due to stroke. I and my siblings finished undergrad this is due to the dedication and perseverance of our parents; we’re able to get a formal job and a family of our own. Unfortunately none of us siblings were able to have a decent church wedding which our parents wished we had.

Oftentimes, families encountered numerous problems; whether it’s emotional, physical, spiritual, and sometimes financially. As siblings, we obliged ourselves to support the needs of our family and our mother and we forget to save something for ourselves. Due to lack of budget, I and my wife were not able to have a church wedding as well. Every passing year, my wife was consistently reminding me to save budget for our wedding. This consistent reminder takes a toll on me. I feel guilty because I was not able to give her the type of wedding she deserved. I love her so much however I cannot do anything about it because all of my pay goes to all my families’ expenses. This coming June 2021, is our 15^th crystal wedding anniversary and I want to make my mom and my wife’s dream come true. For my mom, she wanted to see her children in a church wedding. For my wife, the wedding is very important to her as a lady, not just to experience it but to prove to the world that our love for one another cannot be separated by anything. If this is what it takes for my mom and wife to be happy, I will use any means necessary to fulfill their wishes. And I think GoGetFunding is one of the ways that can help me achieved my goal.

I am formally writing this story to express my request to all kindhearted people to support this endeavor. I need to raise enough money before June 2021 for the wedding. And if I fail, I will still pursue my goal and find some other way.
