Dr Mihaly Moldovan Launch

This fundraiser has been established to assist Dr. Mihaly Moldovan (Mike or Misi to many).  As many of you may know, Misi has completed his Masters work as a physician in September 2012 at  the Medical University of Tirgu Mures, Romania.

In his home country, Misi will only be provided a monthly salary of $300.00 and has very limited mobility to specialize in fields of interest.  Due to the weak economy, bureaucracy and very low wages in Romania, Misi's only option at this point is to seek employment in Germany where they have a highly recognized residency program along with opportunity in many open fields of practice. 

In order for him to establish himself in Germany, he would need to be fluent in the German language at the B2 or C1 level.  This advanced level is only attainable through language school (Goethe Institute of Learning), and the one that meets the requirements of the health officials in Germany is very expensive.  

This fundraiser is to assist Misi in establishing the funds to spend the next year and half in language school and provide for his basic living expenses as well as travel to Germany when his study is completed to find employment.

A little more about Mihaly...

Misi was born from a middle class family in Romania.  His father was a mechanic who had to retire early due to health reasons, his mother served as a sales associate.  Since he was a child, Mihaly had a dream of rising above his social circumstances and becoming a medical doctor, hoping to help others, including his beloved family, who have always supported him reach his dreams with very limited resources.  As a student at the University he realized that as a Hungarian National in a country with a Romanian majority, he would always have the "second chance" even as an intellectual.  In 2003, having completed four years in a six year program, he returned to take control of his future and left for the USA in order to gather a financial foundation to finish his studies..  He worked in various industries including construction, waste management, food and beverage, sales and transportation to name just a few.  Realizing the only way to complete his dreams was to return to Europe and finish medical school there.  He came back to his home town, graduated and received his Masters in 2012.  His dream is to work as a Neurologist or Radiologist.
