DR HOPE

DR HOPE is an organization that I have been lucky enough to work with. Every year hundreds of students travel to Dominican Republic with the same goal. That goal is to build not only a house, but a home. Lucky for me this is the third year I will be participating in this amazing experience. My love for this organization is unlike any other, it is something I find happiness in and I will continue to do it for years to come. DR HOPE was an organization that my high school worked with unfortunately they have decided to stop and I also graduated. So since then a few friends and I have been working with the organization and have created an independent group. With being in university for the past year and heading into my second year, extra time is non existent which makes funding harder as the years progress. In order for this house to be built, materials must be bought and for this to happen it is each of our responsibly to fundraise 800 dollars worth of these materials. Normally I would hold a bake sale, garage sale, BBQ or other events, however I thought I would try something different. I wanted to see if other people would be interested in helping out, individuals who were inspired by a charity such as this one. Anything helps right so I thought it would be worth a try! I truly believe anything helps so go ahead and donate if you wish, don’t hesitate. Your help and donations are appreciated.
