Down payment for a house

I am never sure what to put here, but I find honesty the best measure. I left a long term unhealthy relationship about a year ago. I moved in with someone I thought I could trust, and though things started out okay with the living situation they suddenly got bad and I had to move to a temporary housing situation.

I am actually without furniture and at this point barely any clothing, as most of it was ruined in my previous living situation. These things I can gradually purchase, but finding a permanent place for me and my pets is the most important matter and time is wearing thin at my current location.

I have dogs, and I absolutely refuse to part with them, all three are rescues from bad situations, two are senior pets, and two are listed on the dangerous breeds list, so a shelter and re-homing is not an option. The only home they have known is with me and I can not abandon them.

I have been searching for the last three months for someone to rent to me, but truthfully most places do not allow pets of their size, without a substantial amount upfront.

Yes, I can afford to take care of my pets, and I do work, but the amount that I have to put back each month, is not going to allow me to move anytime soon, (I do pay some amount of rent where I am staying plus regular monthly bills), but the truth is I either need to raise the down payment on a house or be able to pay a huge fee and a few months rent up front.

That is why I am running this crowdfunding campaign, I am putting aside what I can, but there is still a lot that needs to be made, given that I have nothing to sell, so I am giving this a shot.

Where ever I move to will not only be a home for me and my pets, but also work as a studio space so that I can get back to creating art. Which I have not been able to pursue for several months due to space issues, so many projects that had potential buyers have been left on the back burner until I have a permanent living situation.

Speaking of art, I have decided to offer a limited number of fine art prints, they will all be signed and numbered, and securely shipped.
