Dear Friends and Family, 

     As you know, what started out as a simple ear infection has ended up with a diagnosis of stage 4 Burkitt's lymphoma, for our sweet little Kayden. It was revealed after many tests the cancer was in Kayden's kidneys, throat and spinal fluid.  Since November 14th, Kayden has been on a aggressive chemotheraphy regimen involving daily lumbar punctures to inject chemo into his spinal fluid.  No parent should ever have to witness their 4 year old child endure this kind of pain. 

     Kayden is a spunky little boy who loves spongebob, trucks, arts/crafts and his ipad.  He's in amazingly high spirits through all the spinal needles and continuous test but is looking forward to the day he can be a normal boy again.  The doctors have told us that Kayden's fight has only just begun.  We are facing months of chemotherapy in and out of the hospital. During Kayden's first visit home, after a month, he was able to catch up with some preschool friends, decorate the christmas tree and visit santa! Please keep us in your continued prayers as we take each day as they come and continue to focus on the positive.

    So many friends and family members have already reached out to ask how they can help, we are trying to raise money to help support the financial responsibilities that are tagged with an illness like Burkitts by way of co-payments, insurance caps and shortcomings. lost wages, travel and accomadations to and from treatment facilities.
