Campaign Story
On Wednesday 20 May, Ron unexpectedly and devastatingly passed away, leaving behind his gorgeous wife Diya and wonderful sons Lachlan and Oliver.
Rugby was always a big passion for Ron. During his time in Singapore, he played Open Grade and Veterans Grade Rugby for The Singapore Wanderers RFC. When his children came of age, he became an enthusiastic Titans RFC dad and coach to the Little Titans – including Lachy and Ollie.
The Wanderers and Titans Foundation was set up in late 2019 to raise funds to support club initiatives, with the aim of increasing participation in rugby within disadvantaged communities in Singapore and the wider South-East Asia region. The broader aim is to help disadvantaged kids by offering a grass-roots based, viable pathway into rugby (all the way from youth grade to open grade and, hopefully, vets). This includes instilling rugby values, assisting with career opportunities, and creating enhanced members of society through their participation in the sport.
Diya has chosen to raise funds for The Wanderers & Titans Foundation in Ron's memory. He was a member of both these clubs – an avid participant, as well as a supporter of youth rugby and the community and social aspect of rugby as a team sport.
Donations made in Ron’s memory will be used to sponsor two under-privileged kids for a year of training with the Titans Rugby Club.

Hi D, rugby does unite people and this is a wonderful commemoration idea. I’m sad i never had a beer with Ron after a game. I’ll get in touch elsewhere. All our love. The GvP’s
