Donations to BTSxUNICEF “Love Myself” Campaign

Love Myself Campaign is a two-year, anti-violence campaign launched on November 1, 2017 by South Korean boy band BTS in partnership with the Korean and Japan Committee for UNICEF. The campaign idea was introduced by the group as a sponsorship to #ENDViolence, a UNICEF global campaign aimed at the protection of young people so they can live without the fear of violence.

#ENDviolence is a promise of a better future to children and to ensure safety and protection for our children from all forms of violence. Children and teens have the right to pursue their lives in safety and happiness and to grow with love and care. At this very moment, however, some of them are falling victim to various levels of violence. Many of them are unable to enjoy their fair share of chances to dream of a healthy future.They suffer significant violence within their homes and in schools, places where they should feel safe, protected and be taken care of. Corporal punishment that children experience in the context of home and school can lead to lifelong consequences for their health and development. If current trends continue, close to 2 million children and adolescents could be killed by an act of violence by 2030.

“Love myself, share love”—this is the true meaning of love and what we want to share with others and promote in the broader world. We want to lend a helping hand to children and teens exposed to violence. With our love and care, this world can be turned into a better place where people can dream of tomorrow.

This fundraising campaign was created by a faction of the Malaysian A.R.M.Y (BTS' fandom name) to raise money which then will be donated to the #ENDViolence campaign. This donation will be an ongoing one, as we aim to donate an amount of money to the #ENDViolence campaign every month until the campaign ends. We don't ask for much, even $1 is enough, as long as it is donated with full sincerity.

Together, we can make this world a better and safer place, not only for ourselves, but for our children and future generations.
