CA$6,000.00raised of CA$1,000.00 goal goal
Campaign Story
I am presently in Poznan, Poland for medical school. Since Russia has invaded Ukraine, there are more than 2.5 million Ukrainian refugees that have come to Poland to escape the war. Right across the street from where I live is the Poznan Arena. The Poznan Arena is currently home for many refugees and they are expected to have approximately 1,000 refugees in the coming days.
I have created this fundraising page to help out the Ukrainian refugees. Most of them have come here with very little and are in desperate need of food, clothing, medicine, sanitation products, and toys for children. I know my family and friends in Canada and the USA want to help and this is a great opportunity to make a positive difference in their lives. All of the proceeds will go directly towards the refugees that are living right across from me and it will be delivered immediately to them.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated! Let's show the Ukrainians how much we care about them!
UPDATE: To encourage more donations, I will do these events provided that these targets are reached:
- $4,000 CAD = 1/2 Ironman Triathlon in Poland this spring (1.9 km swim, 90 km bike, 21.1 km run)
- $5,000 CAD = 2 full-distance Ironman Triathlons this year (3.8 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km run / marathon)
And for something really crazy to make all of you donate funds for this great cause...
- $10,000 CAD = a 100-mile ultramarathon!

Last week, I decided to try and do some fundraising for the 1,000+ Ukrainian refugees across the street from me. I honestly expected very little in donations and set a goal of $1,000 CAD over a two week period. That goal was instantly smashed within 24 hours and we are. . . . .
We hit the $1,000 mark within 24 hours!
