Campaign Story
Hi! I am in dire need of financial support and prayers, I know all of us are struggling but I would highly appreciate your help.
My father, Sunny Elbanbuena, 49, diagnosed with Rectal Cancer and liver complications, is in need of financial support for his Colectomy surgery and chemotherapy. He lost almost 25 kgs. Excretion of stool with dark blood weakened his body. He is also experiencing severe abdominal pain and frequent bowel movements. He cannot sit nor walk anymore. Due to his liver complications, (which also affected other internal organs of his body), he is experiencing Edema (swelling of tissues in his hands, legs and feet). The doctor said he needs immediate surgery and chemotherapy.
He quit his job last year so I had to provide for our family needs and his medical expenses all at the same time. My brother and I did as much as we can but we still don't have enough money to proceed with his surgery and chemotherapy. We desperately need your financial support.
[Update as of Sept 6, 2020]
1st Surgery: Abdominal Paracentesis
My father's rectal cancer and liver complications caused the accumulation of fluid in his peritoneal cavity (bloated belly: as seen in the picture), or based on his doctor's diagnosis, Malignant Ascites. These fluids can be drained through Abdominal Paracentesis, the insertion of a needle or catheter to the peritoneal cavity to release the ascitic fluids. Only after the completion of this surgery, my father could take another and then proceed with his sessions of chemotherapy. On Sept 7, Monday, he is scheduled to have the Abdominal Paracentesis Surgery.
We are praying for the success of his surgery, and the succeeding surgery and chemo. Thank you so much for your support! However, we still need additional financial support because we were not able to accumulate enough money for his first surgery and second surgery.

2020 is such a long, stressful and draining year but I am definitely sure that better days will come. I know that we are all struggling right now so any financial aid during this pandemic, will be highly appreciated.
I'll be forever grateful, thank you for the love and kindness
Warm Regards,
Marisol Elbanbuena
