Last week, the Philippines was hit by the typhoon Odette ("Rai"), and the Visayas region (Cebu, Bohol, Siargao, etc.) endured a lot of damages. There were a lot of casualties, houses and livelihood lost. My family are all there right now, experiencing shortages in food, water, food, oil, electricity - pretty much the basics in living. Cell towers are down, and they only get phone reception until 6 pm.

My family was fortunate enough to evacuate in time before the typhoon crushed Bohol. My family is very lucky that we have bearable damages in our house, and most importantly, everybody is safe. But, unfortunately, that's not the case for our neighbours. Some of our relatives lost their house completely.

Given the current resources, we decided to launch a fundraiser to help affected areas like Loboc and Loay. There are a lot of small towns in Bohol that have not received help until now.

My family is volunteering to buy a few grocery packs for those affected, and we will aim to distribute them by the 24th of December - just in time for Christmas eve.

The grocery pack will have 3kgs rice, canned goods, and instant noodles.

People who are affected in Bohol need your help. Thank you and may God bless us all.
