I am raising money to move my family closer to a pediatric rehabilitation center. Deja needs a new home because she is not getting the care she deserves in our current small town. Deja was paralyzed in a fatal car wreck. A senseless suicide driver hit my mother and two young children head-on in June 2013 and he successfully killed himself and my mother instantly. I was not prepared for all the mental/physical/financial issues that come with this kind of major life event. We lost our number one support person and cheerleader in the wreck, my mom. I had just moved us back to PA in Feb. 2011 to get help from my mother due to a recent divorce. My income in 2013 was $8,500 all of which and more we owe social security. My credit cards are maxed out. I have a little human being that I owe 100% of my life and I can't get her where she needs to be. Her physical health is worse than in 2014! This money will relocate Deja so Deja can thrive. She needs to move!

My oldest checked out okay physically, but witnessed some major trauma and Deja incurred a very long list of internal injuries. The worst of which is a T11 spinal cord injury. For the last three years she has watched her friends walk, run, and dance. She is complacent and I need to get her out of here now.

In North Carolina: I will see that she receives everything that she needs to get back on her feet and walk again (God willing). We cannot stay here in DuBois. The stress of fighting for her care and her rights is affecting everyone's health especially Deja's. She needs a strong support system that can motivate her and myself to work hard on her recovery. This cannot be found where we live now. We need help from friends and families.
