Campaign Story
An estimated 66 million primary school children go to class hungry across the developing world, which severely impacts their physical development and ability to learn.
In Cambodia, one in three children will not even finish primary school, meaning most face a life without prospects, opportunities or hope.
ISF’s Education Programme focuses on the most disadvantaged children from the slums of the capital Phnom Penh who have never gone to school or have had to drop out to work, often as scavengers on the city's rubbish dumps. We provide these children with a quality education and a real future, while working closely with their communities to lift entire families out of poverty.
To ensure our students can keep up with the intense curriculum, which catches them up on the lessons they have missed before they are integrated into government-run schools, we offer them a nutritious breakfast and lunch every day.
'Donate Your Plate'
The 'Donate Your Plate' campaign invites you to 'donate your plate' - give us the value of one of your meals - and help us meet our goal of of raising US$6,800 between now and the end of 2017 for our school meal programme. That amount is enough to feed 40 new ISF students for a year, helping them stay healthy, happy and in school.
To achieve our target, we need 340 people to donate just US$20, although every amount is gratefully received.
Please give today and help us make a difference, one child at a time.
Spread the Word
Online giving relies on the power of social media to spread the word. We hope you'll share our campaign page with your network, using the #DonateYourPlate hashtag and mentioning ISF (Instagram: @isfcambodia; Facebook: @isf.cambodia).
We’d love to see the plate you donated – whether it’s your healthy breakfast, signature dish or a meal at your favourite restaurant – so don’t forget to post a picture as well!
Thank you so much for supporting our work and helping to reduce the barriers that prevent so many children from staying in school.

Good luck with this campaign - nutrition is so important and often gets overlooked in school programmes. And keep up the fantastic work you do with these children.
