I am a Law Graduate in Australia, after Graduation I planned to study a Masters in Law specialising in Entertainment Law.
I had a very unorthodox start into Law School, when I was 14 I had to leave High School to care for my Grandmother after a Stroke. I cared for her for 2 years and was not able to return to High School so I never Graduated High School. My dream was to always attend Law School however as I didn't have a High School Certificate it was very difficult to get in. I enrolled in a Prep course which atleast made me a student at the University, after I completed with fatastic grades I applied. Usually they still would not have taken you straight from a prep course and would have required further study mostly in English. I however had acheived straight HD's in the prep course giving me an (Aus) GPA 7 and they decided to take a chance and accept me.
I new I had to prove I was good enough to be there more than anyone else because they all had HSC and all the official requirements behind them. I worked my butt off and achieved consistent great grades throughout and completed my Degree this year. I have been accepted to a Law School in California but ofcourse I need to pay the tuition fee of $100,000. I am not entitled to Government Assistance of any kind, my Family cannot provide assistance. I considered applying for a loan, I can get this in the US but I need a US co-signer and as I dont know anyone their yet it is not possible either.
I am applying for scholarships and continuing to try and source all forms of finances to help. I am beginning in 2015, and cant organise my Visa until I can show I have atleast one terms Tuition.
