Donate for Danni (and the little African kids)

Many of you know already (and are still in shock) but for those who don't, in July I am taking on massive personal challenge and heading to Uganda to spend 3 weeks living in a remote village, helping the children and their families create a higher standard of living and more sustainable way of life. Basically I will be involved in anything from conservation and agriculture (translates to me as digging and planting stuff) to building schools. I will also be helping families who want to set up their own businesses and teaching them how to manage their finances to make sure they ultimately make a profit. I'm hoping I can put my accountancy skills to some use, even if I can't add up in my head or split a bill properly! So, it terms of why I want to raise money and where it will go..... The volunteer programme is organised by the Global Volunteer Network, but ran in Uganda by a local charity, The Real Uganda. Your money will be donated to the charity to help fund the materials for the buildings and also the infrastructure to connect the local villages with running water and electricity. Some of your money will also be used to take families to the local markets and allow them to choose the day to day items they need. I have no idea how much money I will raise, but anything I do I will be honestly really grateful for. So even if you don't buy into the cause please think about donating just because I am spending 3 weeks, yes 3 weeks, without a shower, phone, heels or hair straighteners. And the last time I checked there wasn't a Reiss in Uganda either.... Danni xx
