On Tuesday 8th July, one of the worst storms in a decade hit the Port of Opua. Our Dad's boat, the Spirit of Nyami Nyami, pounded against the Marina dock until it sank. He was on board and did everything he could do to save his home. He had to abandon his boat as it sank, narrowly escaping with his life. The clothes on his back are all he has left.
Our dad has no financial support to even begin trying to salvage his home. It's killing us that we can't help him on our own. We're asking you to please give whatever you can. $1, £1, anything you can afford will help him in this desperate situation. And if you can't donate, please like the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/donate4don as a show of support and write any messages of support to him will give him the strength he needs to start living again.
