Campaign Story
My Middle School daughter is traveling to the Dominican Republic during the week of March 23 - March 30, 2013 with my Church. We will be helping Hatian people who have somehow entered into the DR and cannot leave. They left Haiti either because of the earthquake or because they were starving. We will be pouring concrete floors in a Haitian community called a Batey, where the houses are made of mostly sticks with dirt floors that get washed away everytime a semi-major storm occurs. Any excess money will be used to purchase materials and needed food for the project and people of the Batey.
