Dogs best friend

My project is to help educate people and kids about how to take care of a dog and what it takes to have a dog in the home. I recently had to put down our beloved "Ruby" a Bassett hound of 9 yrs and she is very much missed.

     I have been married for 34 years and have raised 3 kids and currently have 7 grandchildren. I'm a 3rd generation dry-cleaner and I'm sick of my job and its time for me to make a difference on this world and show my grand kids that this dream can come true. I know that helping the shelters and giving my time to educate the future generation, that these dogs need love and care!

     My grand daughter and I went to several city dog shelters and we realized that there is a lots of abused animals. Its the owners of these poor animals that need education on how to care and handle these animals. We rescued a 4 year old Rottweiler we found on Craig's List and her name is Mia and she is the most gentle dog.

     I'm going to start doing something that makes a difference instead of punching a clock so starting on Jan.1st,2014 I'm quiting my job and I'm going to devote atleast 8 hrs a day to volunteering at all the shelters I can and talk to people about getting this project into the elementary schools and educating the kids in a 1 or 2 hr. lecture on dogs and animals care. Let them meet some of the most amazing dogs and animals that make great pets but come with a price. All they want is love and a safe home like the rest of us.

     So help me start a dream and it will be the best return on your dollar. I only need about 1150.00 a month to pay bills and expenses.
