Hello, my name is George

I am from a small town in the province of Greece.

I m asking for your help because before two days i found a stray dog. The moment i saw him i knew that something was wrong with him and it wasn't his lack of food and water.

The second day i had him i got him to the vet for blood test. The results showed that he has Leishmaniasis (Kala azar) and heartworm(Dirofilaria), which unfortunately both of the diseases are deadly.

Vet told me that we have to check his kidneys if they are functional and non damage(cause of Leishmaniasis) so we start a therapy, otherwise it was a lost game and maybe euthanasia was a choice.

Fortunately his kidneys wasn't damage and he gave me the green light to start the treatment.

I already bought his medication (pills) for the first month and later he will need a syrop accordingly his weight ,49 kg,(big boy) it's about 400 euros. The money i ask is for this one so i can provide it as soon as possible and for a dog food specialized for Leishmaniasis(80 euro per 12 kg). I know it will costs more the money i ask but i need the smallest help i can get ,and i want to give him the best chances to fight both of the diseases. Vet s opinion is that this is a very hard case, with highly failure rate but we have a chance, and also i can't just sit and watch him die.

He doesn't have a name yet and he is 3-4 year old judging by his teeth. His breed i think is Sarplaninac(Google lens).

I ll try to make the whole treatment, even if this charity fails.

Thank you for your time you spend reading this.
