We would like to ask if you can spare a bag of dog food for these voiceless angels. We will not accept monetary donations as much as possible please, if you have someone you trust in the Philippines please help us with dog food instead 🙏

There are currently 30 dogs in our local pound mostly surrendered by their owners. We also feed strays outside the pound (2 dogs and 3 cats). We've been volunteering to feed these dogs everyday since September 2017. We have 13 dogs of our own, 6 of them are rescues and another 4 are pups of our rescue. We were able to feed all these dogs with the support of my father and the help of people with a heart for these animals. When lockdown was annouced in the PH in March 15, 2020 my father was affected as he is on no work no pay basis, we have to depend on my older sister and brother to survive. My siblings have supported me and my family including our 13 dogs for the past two months but they cannot afford to feed the 35 animals abandoned by their owners.

When my father has work, we have to combine his financial support with the donation of donors so we can provide enough food for the dogs everyday but since my father has no work for two months now, the dog food (60-80kgs) that usually lasts for 4-5 weeks for these dogs now only lasts for 3 weeks and the expense of lesser daily ration to the dogs.

We cannot post in our local AW groups as we ate trying to avoid any kind of issue or confrontation with the local government as much as possible for the sake of those poor dogs and we hope you can understand us. Our local baranggay unit has done what they can and what their budget allows (cleaning, fixing cages so that the dogs wont be crowded. It is now 1 dog per cage). Also, most of the dogs are surrendered by their owners and not strays.

For now, our focus is to feed them and rehome them to a good home as soon as lockdown eases. We know that it's a cycle, rehoming them then new dogs get dump at the pound but what can we do? Our hands are tied, we have to remain silent as long as these dogs don't starve to death. Our local animal welfare laws doesn't punish owners who abandoned their pets. We won't stop feeding them just because we feel stressed not knowing where to get their next meal.

We hope you can spare a few bags of dog food for these dogs, our only request is not to donate any cash if possible to avoid any doubt and issues. We only want to fill their empty stomach. Help us please, just until my father is allowed to work again.

Most of them are there for months and a few are there for more than a year.
