Documentary Film for Mary Apparation in Larantuka and saintly man Mgr. Gabriel Manek, SVD

I am Catholic and enthusiast film maker. I've been praying for this project since 2012, till now 2016. Some good people who volunteer to donate this project recently just abandon this project for commercial reason. I can't say wrong about them. After all, they are businessman.

So, I try to do the fund raising in this web.

This is a documentary project for apparation of Mary in small remote area in the East Island of Indonesia: Larantuka. Probably you might have not hear about it.

In this humble and unknown Larantuka, about 500 hundreds years ago, legend told by the community, Mother Mary come to greet this people, far before the missionary came. After leave by the missionary without any priest, people still stay in their faith and yearly do the Semana Santa procession a week before Easter. Mother Mary is a mother and Queen for this people. They call her 'Tuan Ma', means 'Mother'. The king of Larantuka humbly kneel before her and gave his staff to her as proof of obedience, and so the rest of the native people.

About three decades ago, a man of God, former Bishop of Larantuka and Archbishop of Ende had died in a foreign city. For emotional reason, the congregation that he formed, PRR, ask for the return of his body. What they found inside the coffin is something amazing. His body never decayed, yet there is good smell, not like any other deceased. Many miracles happend and people see him as holy man.

Sadly, there are no good documentary about these issue. People who do the documentaries didn't really expose the true story, the hidden meaning of what happend in Larantuka. To say that they are a good film maker, yes. But they are no Catholic and they don't understand the faith.

What I want to make here is a story of faith. Something that can be share for the world from a small remote area in East Indonesia. Something big can be told from a small place. Their story have something that can enrich our faith in this modern world. When Natanael ask, "Is there something good that can come from Nazareth?", I see the same answer when I look to Larantuka.

Please help me. This is no commercial work, yes. But this is something for words of faith.

I have miss this year Semana Santa, because my donation being cut just days before the Semana Santa. I am striving for the next Semana Santa in 2017.
