"Dead is coming..."
This documentary film is a trip of friendship, traditions and reunion with the history of Mexican people. A spiritual and pagan journey into the interior of humanity and how we assume the processes in life through the eyes of two friends who have joined their efforts and experiences in life as actors and human beings rediscovering and learning about this tradition in this special region of mexico where they also have kept their indian believes of searching for a "good living" awareness.
Dead is a frightening subject for most of us but as anything in life can be looked from a different perspective and even be celebrated as it is in Mexico with a beautiful and colorful tradition. They believe that on this day they must help the dead continue their journey buy offering food, candles and performing other rituals.
We need the funds to support the crew that is coming to present a theater play in Oaxaca and at the same time shoot a documentary film where we want to learn about this tradition, interview shamans and indian healers who have kept their own traditions link to this beautiful celebration. The day of the dead is celebrated on November first every year but we need 30% of the goal by the end of september to buy plane tickets, and reserve hostals. Every person involved in this project are volunteering their job. Money is only used for expenses and filming producing.
This documentary film has a special value for all participating because it's not only part of our passion we pursue every day but also an spiritual journey to clean, heal and lear about leaving with our ancesters believes that we have forgotten in this tehcnological based life.
