Doc’s Recovery

Hello, my name is Morgan Mason. I've been a lifelong bird hunter and, more often than not, have a dog at my feet snoring or in the truck with me on the latest excursion. I'm writing this because a simple trip to town and back went wrong and resulted in both my dog Doc and I breaking our back in a severe rollover accident on icy roads. I suffered no neurological damage in the fractures to eight of my vertebrae. Doc fractured vertebrae and also suffered a spinal cord injury, leaving him severely limited in his mobility.

Doc is unable to stand with his rear legs and suffers from incontinence. I am committed to the daily and long term care for him to allow for the best potential to see him run afield again. Doc has received spinal surgery, is undergoing maintenance care while his spine heals, and I am preparing rehabilitation appointments to increase his mobility.
