Dylan is a georgous bright little boy whom has not had the easiest start to life. Dylan was born 11 weeks prenature and suffered a bleed to the brain, this brain damage led to him being diagnosed with cerebral palsy ( spastic quadriplegia). The result of this diagnosis has ment that Dylan is in a wheelchair with very limited movement and not a very positive outlook in terms of independence. Unfortunately selective dorsal rhizotomy is a procedure that Dylan is not eligable for in the UK although he has been fortunate enough to be accepted over in America. The surgery is a spinal procedure that will remove all of Dylan's spasticity and with the correct therapy post op allow him to walk them steps they have always longed for.   SO!   As part of the many things going on to fubdraise to hit the target a group of us are going to walk the west Highland way.  For anyone who does not know about the west Highland way as of which I didnt when I said "Aye why no!" heres so lovely info.  THE WEST HIGHLAND WAY is a linear long distance foot path in Scotlan,  with official status of long distance route route. The route is 154.5km (96.0m) long, running from Milngavie in Glasgow to Fort William in the Scottish Highlands. With an element of hill walking along the route the highest point at rhe devils stair case is 550m (1800ft) above sea level. We are starting this walk on the 18th of July and aim to finish it on the 24th completing the 96 mile in 6 days camping along the way.  I have set a goal to raise for this page although all donations are welcomed big or small as all will help. THIS PAGE IS FOR MYSELF LAURA AND MY WIFE KAT TO RAISE MONEY FOR THIS CAUSE THAT IS SO DEAR TO OURSELVES. Thank you in advance for any donations.
