Hi everyone! I've been offered an incredible opportunity to go to Nicaragua this May with a program called EDventure. While I'm there, I will be providing humanitarian aid to the local communities. This will include things like helping with community-focused projects that educate people about local health initiatives, providing (and playing, of course) educational games with local school children in the community, and preparing and participating in health focused workshops with community members to encourage and develop healthy living habits. It will truly be an incredible trip!
This opportunity is not without cost, though. In order to go, I must pay my own way. The trip will cost me $3500 plus my air fair. This large amount of money goes toward meals, housing accommodations, transportation while in Nicaragua, building materials for any community projects we help with, and funds to help develop the communities we will be working with.
This is where you can help. I would like to ask you to partner with me in helping the people of Nicaragua. Any donation is welcome, big or small. If 35 friends or relatives donate $100 to this program, I'll be set to go. I realize that this is a big decision to make, so please, think and pray about it before you decide to do anything.
I will try to keep you updated with my progress, and promise to send you the results of the trip once I am back. After all, it won't be just me helping the people of Nicaragua: you'll be helping, too.
