Summary

We are a young social enterprise startup that aims to revolutionize proper waste management disposal through an AI-based and data-driven waste segregation platform. TrashCash will educate, facilitate and incentivize people in partnership with local government unit or private firms, and upcycling companies.

Our Services

TrashCash works as a free-to-use platform for the community that will:

• Engage and encourage people to participate in recycling
• Provide education and awareness about the proper waste management and impact of trash on our environment.
• Incentivize people by giving points from depositing recyclable materials to our community partner's drop-off center in exchange for Trash Points that can use to redeem rewards.

We also provide community partners a traceable and trackable waste management system they can use to monitor the real-time data and insights regarding the amount of plastic being collected in their area that can be used for efficient city waste management plans.

Objective & Solution

The goal is to make the entire effort of trash segregation and disposal less time-consuming, engaging, less confusing, citing various categories for recyclable materials and with emphasis on the benefits of it, including potential rewards for people.

Our solution, a mobile application that will orient, educate, and incentivize Filipinos to know the value and impact of their trash. Application users can deposit the collected recyclable materials to our community partner drop-off point within the barangay and earn points.

• An AI-based waste segregation app that incentivize and educate people to ensure plastic waste is intelligently identified and properly sorted at source.
• A tool to make recycling more engaging and accessible to improve recycling rates in the community.
• A data-driven platform to monitor the real-time insights and statistics regarding on the volume of the trash for each community.

The accumulated points can be used to exchange products from our community partner and discount voucher from partner brands and local businesses.

The involvement of LGUs and other community partners plays an important role in helping to promote and establish more drop-off locations for the plastic wastes collected by the app users on each community or barangay.

We also provide dashboard for our community partner to monitor the real-time insights and statistics regarding on the volume of the trash for each community where the generated data can be used for their waste management plan.

With TrashCash, we see the opportunity to increase the recycling rate and improve waste management in the community to ensure that waste materials like plastic are segregated, collected, and given new life.
