Distress Teachers due to COVID 19

Hello,

I am Mj. An ESL teacher who is currently in Vietnam. My situation here truly left me no choice. The schools here are closed since February as an immediate measure by the government to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Truly, it was a commendable action by the government however, we the teachers were one of those affected of school's suspension. I am working with a school with no-work no-pay policy. That's why I immediately looked for alternative jobs to sustain my needs- my rent, my food and personal needs. The situation was unexpected and I am just a new teacher here in Vietnam. As the breadwinner of the family, I took a leap of faith and left my job in the Philippines to find a greener pasture here. Bigger percentage of my salary is allotted for my family back in the Philippines , that's why I wasn't able to save enough money for emergency situations like this. Which I realized has been a great mistake.

I am currently doing online teaching jobs with much lower rates. However, I cannot do otherwise but to grab it. Competitions in online teaching jobs currently are very tough since most of the employers preferred native English speakers. I am very grateful that I was able to sustain my needs since February. Unfortunately, this dire situation came where my money is not already sufficient for my payments and needs.
