Distraught and Agitated parents of 9 Children

To make a long story short, we are a Self-Sufficient family of 11 (2 Adults, 9 kids). We have been moving like crazy in the last 7 years and are at the mercy of landlords. Our first place had brick walls that deteriated and the landlord would not fix it so every time it rained water would come through the walls and we had to move, next house was cosmetically fixed to look good but one year later there was black mould 3 feet high on all the walls and the landlord refused to fix and desired rather to sell so we had to move again. 3 years ago we came across another house and rented it, the landlord seemed to be down to earth and nice until now because he had to put in a septic and now wants to raise our rent by $350 a month. The house is so hard to heat and mold is setting in from the outside drafts in this 125 year old house. Nothing has been done and we have had to put money out of our pockets to fix it a bit to keep heat in and our heat bill is 600$ every 3-4 weeks, not to mention we do not have an ample water supply and have to purchase our own water for drinking and watering our animals, but they don’t seem to care.

I am tired of moving and so are my kids, moving is hard enough but 3 of our children have disabilities and moving makes it hard when you have doctors and specialist that follow your children because we’ve had to switch them a few times and it pushes back their treatments and my husband is not far from being in a wheel chair permenantly from degenerated disk disease. We need help to raise enough money to buy a house. I know it’s a long shot almost like looking for a winning lottery ticket...good luck right!

So I thought why not try a fundraising thing, what can it hurt other then my dignity, I normally help others when in need and thought maybe somewhere out there people understand my situation and might help.

It’s always been a dream to own our own house in the country to provide food for us and gardening for others as well. We have worked fields in different places for seven years and every time we get the land worked up, ready to plant we have to move. This time we were given word that we would be able to live here for many years to make it our own, we planted many fruit trees spending $1000 plus dollars and built gardens and planted bulbs of flowers and garlic and now all that hard work we are left to look for a home to rent again, or if they consider renting to us longer pay out $2600 a month in rent and utilities and deal with minimal water, a leaking, drafts home and no way to save for a down deposit.
