For more than 8 years I have devoted my life doing volunteer works in the community. I joined manifold NGOs in my country, attended many safety and disaster management services seminars, training and community outreach, despite that for others - my participation is a sacrifice, it rather makes me more happy to serve the people than just going with the flow. I volunteered not because I want to be a hero, but because, it is my orientation and my passion.
I did not use my profession to find greener pasture abroad, but I continued nourishing myself with more and more volunteer roles and experiences. At the moment I am a volunteer Subject Matter Expert & Special Response Unit for Disaster Management & Emergency Response in an organization and a licensed Safety and Disaster Management service instructor in another institution.
But my contribution doesn't end there, I know and I firmly believe that I can move mountains, that I can contribute in the society - far more than what I am doing. Mitigation and emergency response equipment & tools, these are just one of the primary needs I want to earn and deploy for my community.
Furthermore I want to help my country to develop a (layman) system (that really works, independent from any political, media and showbiz scheme) for disaster mitigation, response and recovery.
I do not aspire to be in the limelight, if only I can make my passion and determination to build a stronger society (physically and emotionally) to be highly contagious, the result is already unity by volunteerism.
So here are my vision, I lay them down before you. I know that I am not alone. I want the next generation benefit from what I and WE WILL DO! Thank you for supporting this cause, the next generation will surely welcome you.
