My father is a 100% disabled Navy veteran who has fallen on very hard times. He is currently in the process of moving states away to live with me his eldest daughter but is unable to do so due to lack of funds and a very recent ordeal that has taken place between him and an ex who is trying with all her might to get him in legal trouble. I hate any sort of help and I especially hate asking but I am left with no other choice because my family is unable to help my father financially at this time. Several nights ago a married woman my father did have an affair with found out he was planning on leaving the state and decided to show up unannounced at his resident. My father asked her to leave but she would not. If anyone knows my father he is very timid soft spoken and hates confrontation. At some point in the night he got up to go to the bathroom came out and found the woman had left his resident. Later police show up to his home and arrested him. The woman filed charges stating he battered her, falsely imprisoned her and broke her phone. These allegations are untrue and I'm left to come here and ask that you help with the hefty legal fees that are stacking up for an innocent man. In the state my father is no evidence is actually required to convict, her word is enough to actually send my father to jail for something he did not do. My father has obtained an attorney but the fee is 15000. 5000 my grandmother was able to front but we are left to come up with the other 10000 and with my fathers current pension and bills this will not happen. All money is going to his attorney fees. Thanks for taking the time to read this, god bless and save a vet!
