Disabled Grandma’s Medical Debt

Good Day! Bad things happen to good people, and good people try and solve their own crisis. This elderly woman will NOT be able to solve this crisis quickly enough for her own safetly and well-being. She believes the best way to get money is to earn it, but after a stroke added to her ongoing disability concers she realizes this is unlikely. So, we are taking this extraordinary step because her life and the lives of those she loves will NOT improve while she is hampered by debt. It should be noted that these cards have not been used in more than two years, and, in fact, have been closed. She is living very simply on her husbands social security (she is not eligible for Disability SSI). Also, these debts are not from gambling, shoppping or vacations. Some is from her husband, who is now in a nursing home, and her efforts to help others - always thinking a job was a possibility - until the stroke. She lives simply , no house to re-finance, no car to sell. She very much believes in Paying It Forward, and will do so as much as she can once debt free. I hope those who have been blessed and have brighter futures can help her have some peace of mind and room to breathe.
