Campaign Story
ILICIT Africa’s pledges to support the development of ICT in Africa through community capacity building, enhancing Information Communication Technology adoption at all various levels which include rural community development, organisations workshop, outreach to schools; and Individual and organization training at all different levels.
ILICIT Africa set forth and started the Digital Centre in Bududa which has been a game changer in the community and use of ICT in the Learning process. With the limitation of children accessing Digital devices, Donation of used tablets have spurred and contributed greatly to ILICIT Africa’s Digital Centre in Bududa.
ILICIT Africa in partnership with LearnWithLara have created impact through the Digital Centre in Bududa that is being powered by Solar and currently having 10 tablets which are being accessed by over 150 children. 2 laptops which are being used by over 30Youths learning how to use computers.
Currently we are fundraising to create an Open and Self Sustainable centre with enhancements in technology devices being run by solar, building sustainable community wireless networks, creation of Digital Library to enhance education and Rural Innovation Centre as a Rural gateway to ICT adoption in Rural Areas.
The funds are needed to:-
- Create 4 Solar Powered Open Community Wireless Points granting connectivity and open access technology
- Get atleast 10 computer sets or laptops that will be used by the community to enhance ICT adoption to the wider community
- Deploying an Open e-Library Server which can be accessed by the community
- Obtaining at least 20 more tablets for the children
- Increase the solar capacity of the Digital Centre to atleast 2000 watts to be able to power the Tablets and Laptops
If you have a tablet, or laptop or ICT equipment that you believe will contribute to the change, please contact ILICIT Africa on info [at] i-africa dot net or daniel.nanghaka [at] i-africa dot net or dndannang [at] gmail dot com WhatsApp: +256 772 898298. We can discuss how we can have it delivered.
Lets create change and impact lives through ICT.
