Digital Lumad

Im Romeo (Abby) Abendan II, I'm a Multimedia individual who's very passionate with Videos,Graphic Design & 3D Architectural Walkthroughs. I work as a Freelance Video Editor & Graphic Designer. (About.me/rabendan)

10 years ago (2007) I was able to reach a remote area where there is a village of Lumads (A Native Filipino Tribe). There we conducted a research & survey to complete our college project. In that place, children age 8 -12 needed to walk 1-2 hours barefoot under the heat of the sun to go to school, to go to the river and get water,muddy road, less electricity access & limited access to education. I was moved by their situation, of having the drive to impart and educate these tribes some basic in computers and how to earn a decent pay in a digital world.

This year (2017) I was able to join an outreach program "Operation Smile" by Roz Ponayo, that led me to the same village, and it saddens me to see a very small progress in a span of 10 years, knowing that there are few organizations that already have reached the area.

Join me in this drive to educate the Lumads in the mountains of Arakan Valley,North Cotabato,Philippines.
