I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in January of 2015. My whole life was already a little messed up due to my first 4 years of my life. I was adopted in 2001, so I at least escaped from the situation. When I was younger I was diagnosed with ADHD. My parents and I always knew that I may have had something along those lines, but the official diagnosis made it a reality. So, I had that to deal with for a while. Then, I was diagnosed with Type 1. Seeing as how I already had ADHD to deal with, life kinda sucked for me at that moment. In the beginning I fought back, I didn't take my insulin sometimes nor checked my sugar. The doctors told me that wasn't ok, so I got better. Now, checking regularly and taking insulin when needed, I feel much better. I'm trying to progress in the fight against my diabetes and gain a pump. The pump is this machine that attaches to my body via a tube and it regulates my sugar and injects insulin through the tubes. This would make my day-to-day routines so much easier. The only issue: they're expensive. Some can range from $500-$2000. Im already saving up, but help would be appreciated so I can achieve my goal quicker.
