Campaign Story
Diabetes type 1 is killing millions every year, (see WHO), and the technologies to keep it under control are not accessible to everyone.
Like my own wife, many diabetic people can't access the incredible technological tools that are today in place to provide awareness and timely management of the glucose levels, before hyper or hypoglycemic states appear and put their lives at risk.
This campaign is made with the objective to buy 100 MiaoMiao devices for 100 diabetic people who are unable to buy these by themselves, due to a lack of financial resources. What this device does is regular scanning of the glucose levels (utilizing a worldwide supported glucose sensor called Freestyle Libre, and warning the user of potential rises or downfalls that could end up in a state of a comma, if this occurs, for instance, during sleep.
We will get the funding, raise a social media spreading and reach out in order to deliver within the country of Argentina.
I really hope this gets the impulse we need, and we really wish to bring awareness of how serious this type of technology gap is to health and mortality.
