Campaign Story
On August 5, 2019 at 6:30 in the morning, my brother was involved in a vehicular accident. In his way home, due to lack of sleep and exhaustion he fell asleep and suddenly hit the jeepney which is across his lane and flew together with his motorcycle. He sustained Open Angled Fracture in his left ankle, broken left pinky finger, deep lacerated wound at left arm. He also lost consciousness and was rushed to the nearest government hospital. In the initial result of his CT scan, he had 12ml of blood in the brain. Four days after the accident he can speak, he can remember our names with episodes of having flight of ideas and long hours of sleep.
Everyone thought he was on the road to recovery including his medical team. But on August 12, 2019 at 1;20 a.m he suddenly woke up saying he would want to go to the bathroom and pee, and in an instance he was no longer able to speak, just staring at the doctor who assessed him. Unfortunately, he experienced a nonjerking seizure (petit mal) and they found out he had cerebral edema (brain swelling) was sent to radiology department for stat Cranial CT scan where the result revealed that the bleed in his brain reached almost of the maximum blood the brain cannot contain ,25 cc of blood. He was scheduled for a Craniotomy a major head surgery as early as possible. As of now he is still in the ICU.
The accident has created a huge financial burden to the family and something I am certain we can all do something to help with. If you would like to donate, please PM me for ways to send your donation. We greatly appreciate your help. Thank you!
