Developing an App facilitating education

In Singapore, though every individual are exposed to the same 10 years education route, education inequality is prevalent between top-end schools as compared to neighborhood schools. At first glance, it might be just a scenario of you pay for what you received (In form of education), however, the underlying implication would caused social inequality rooting from the quality of education individuals received. Social inequality is an issue in both Singapore and globally and the campaign is to address / elevate the current situation.

The motivation to create / develop an mobile application to help promote peer teaching and social mixing of different class of student in Singapore, where academically stronger students would help the weaker students. The mobile application would randomized the peer teaching partners to develop social mixing among classes as academically stronger student tend to come from better schools and this would allow them to interact with the middle / lower class student forging interaction between classes form a young age.

The target audience will be from higher primary to secondary school student as a primary test, and would move on to helping higher education / promote to another country helping to elevate the education inequality.

Description of the App

Need to develop a back-end storage data to store user information / account
Need to have a GPS and area pairing algorithm to match - students
Need to have a front end design for ease of access to navigate through the app
