Desperately Need Family Car

We have had a terrible start to the New Year.  We moved our family from Austin, to a small town south of Dallas, just after Thanksgiving due to a job transfer.  Two months after we relocated, the Dallas location was shut down by corporate, and my husband was laid off.
 
We lost our car because we were unable to continue paying for it, and while waiting for our a tax refund, we took turns walking to the store to get our children food, diapers and formula.
 
Our refund was much smaller than expected.  We rented a vehicle and went on the search for a cash car.  There was no way we could get financed, due to our lack of employment.  With time and cash constraints, we purchased the first thing that looked even slightly reliable.  Unfortunately, it is not as reliable as we would have hoped.
 
Today, March 3rd, we received news that my husband's grandmother has had a heart attack and is in the hospital.  We are unable to get to her, because our car is not reliable.  We desperately need to get to her, and she is over two hundred miles away.  We have no friends, or family, anywhere nearby.
 
We are relying on the kindness of strangers to donate to us.  We will use the car we purchased as a trade-in, but with two small children (one is two months shy of his second birthday, and the youngest is five months old), we simply cannot rely on this vehicle to get us around safely.
 
If anyone can donate to us, we would be forever indebted to you.  I am sincerely hoping that there are people in the world who have kindness in their hearts and can find it in them to help us out.
