Deposit for a flat

My name is Andy. I am a Firefighter in Kent, England. My Girlfriend and I live in a rented flat. Our landlord has sold the flat that we live in. We are now looking to rent a new flat as we can't afford to buy. Due to the extortionate property values and estate agent fees we are unable to come up with the deposit required nor the money for the fees for the estate agent. Neither of us have any family we can turn to. We both have poor credit ratings due to debts leftover from previous relationships which we are still paying off, so are unable to get a loan. We really are stuck. It is causing my girlfriend a lot of stress and is impacting on our relationship and there is a very real chance I could lose my job as a Firefighter. Hoping you guys can help us get straight.
