Dental Hygienists for India

Hello, I am going to India for 2 weeks in January 2015, with the non profit project Dental Hygienists for India. The organisation aims to provide a sustainable and permanent solution to dental disease in rural areas of India.  The Organisation Partners with KNH (KinderNotHlife) and CCCYC (The Churches Council of Child and Youth Care) located in Bangalore, India, we are able to assist day care centers, hostels and school projects in the Indian states of; Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka and `Tamil Nadu. While out in India I will be educating and helping child wokers to understand and recognise dental disease along with the screening for decay and inflammation, and determining which children need immediate dental treatment. We will also teach toothbrushing to all the children and perform hygiene treatments on the childrens teeth. We guide and supervise the implementation of daily brushing and create a better awareness of dental disease and deliver methods of preventing it.  Through education and monitoring the DHFI aims to provide the building blocks for villagers to help themselves and provide better health for their children.  Please help me raise money, for supplies to treat the children with, for toothbrushes and also to help me get to India.
