Delft Arts Outreach is a registered NPO reaching hundreds of children in the streets and schools through public art, community food gardens and art therapy classes along with various other youth interventions.
Through engaging with art activities our children develop holistically and find the tools to process the changes, loss and emotional trauma brought on by the COVID19 pandemic and Cape flats living conditions.
We also help children and their families plant home gardens empowering them to grow their own food as job losses and economic instability increase.
We are currently raising funds to develop two new school gardens from the ground up and to strengthen our current youth programmes.
We envision a Delft revitalised through the arts. Where children are nurtured, safe and have the space to grow holistically while being secure in where their next meal will come from.
