Deidre’s Student Loans

Hi, my name is Deidre and I am currently asking for help with my student dept. A little bit about myself; I’m a small town girl from Virginia that was the first of my family to attend a 4 year undergraduate college (Virginia Tech and then a 3 year Doctorate at Marymount University. I received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2016 with a focus in neurology. I was a live-in nanny while attending grad school to help with expenses which made studying and time managment challenging.I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my job!! It is rewarding to build relationships and use my God-given talents in order to serve others. I focus primarily on stroke, TBI and Parkinsons (as my grandfather has severe progressive Parkinsons). I am currently working full time and per diem to manage our military lifestyle, home life and student dept. However, we have had to put growing our family on hold due to my student dept.

What I graduated with: $100,000

What I’ve currently paid: $40,000 in 3 years

Current Monthly loan payments: $1,100

What I owe: $60,000 with interest rates between 5.5-5.8%

Cost of living in San Diego: $2500-3000/month (We have a roommate just to manage expenses)

I appreciate even taking the time to read this and consider giving to my cause. I am hard working, passionate and loyal to my career and family. I want to kiss student dept goodbye so that I can move forward in my life including; buying a home and starting a family.
