Defenders of Palawan, the Philippines’ last environmental frontier

Update posted by Bobby Chan On Feb 09, 2020

WHAT CLIMATE CRISIS? We in the Last Frontier are even allowing opening up old growth forests to coconut plantations. WHO cares if it is in anceatral domain? HOW was it able to secure a SEP clearance from the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development? WHY did the DENR justify it with a Joint Venture Agreement? WHERE is the provincial government in all this? And WHEN will Palaweneos wake up to oppose wide spread land grabbing? (November 2019, PNNI drone shot of Lionsheart Coconut Plantation in the forests of Ransang, Rizal, Palawan).
