My younger sister, Stephanie, was diagnosed with brain cancer.

She is too young to be faced with mortality and all of the trauma that comes along with a diagnosis of brain cancer. (Anaplastic Astrocytoma).

Steph was a star athlete soccer player, dog trainer, and vibrant human being. She is the type of person that will bend over backwards to help you, and have you in stitches laughing all the while. She is not afraid to be a bit crass at times, which adds to her charm. She's the type of person you never forget. Her personality, charisma and kindness leave an imprint in your heart. She's an amazing auntie to her nieces and nephews. And and loving, hilarious and compassionate sister to her 6 siblings.

She was supposed to have the rest of her life to do normal life things. Her story is different.

She underwent a highly physically traumatic and emotionally traumatic brain surgery to have the tumor removed. We hoped for a better prognosis.

The surgery was unsuccessful. Some of the tumor remained.

Since then, the tumor has continued to progress and grow, invading delicate parts of her brain. It’s become inoperable. It’s now moving into very critical parts of the brain that house basic bodily functions (movements, temperature regulation, even thinking…) She is suffering from frequent seizures and panic attacks.

If you know my sister, you know that she is the kind of person that would never burden you with her issues. She rarely complains. She navigates this world with an incredible sense of joy and humor. She is not one to ask for help. Ever.

It took me weeks to convince her to let me do this fundraiser for her.

She is in dire need of support.

She will undergo chemo and radiation on her brain in a few weeks. It’s unclear how this severe treatment will impact her body and mind.

She will be unable to work, for at least several months, during and after the treatment. She needs financial support to be able to pay for treatment, and cover the cost bills.

The treatment alone is $85,000.

If you’re unable to donate, I ask that you share her page and/or pray for her.

Pray that her brain responds well to this treatment and that the tumor dissolves.

If sharing and praying feel too demanding right now, I ask that you just send a good thought to my sister and my family.

I can’t tell you how much we appreciate your generosity, kindness and love.
