Deathcraeft – First Album completed – Fund us to bring it on physical form CD/LP

Deathcraeft is an extreme metal project from Greece. Our first album is completed and we ask for your pledge in order to release it on physical form (CD and LP) without having to go through the record labels. ABOUT THE MUSIC

There are 8 songs in the album and its full duration is 48 min. long. The music is treated as a soundtrack "borrowing" styles from heavy, thrash, death and black metal in order to tell the story, instead of just belonging to one particular style. Although it uses Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos as the background for the story, the lyrics are more of the socio-political kind, trying to describe the self-destructing nature of humans. Will humans be free or enslaved in the end? If you have read Lovectarft's novels maybe you have an idea how it will play out, although it is not the destination that matters but the journey, right?

THE JOURNEY

The project was recorded and mixed at Infinite Loop Studio (https://kalampokasmusic.portfoliobox.net) by guitarist Kostas Kalampokas. After composing the music and writing the lyrics, he got together with drummer Giannis Chionidis (drummer of Echidna) who took on the responsibility to perform all the percussion. After that, singer Nikonas Tsolakos (vocalist of Behind the Smokescreen) joined forces and and he was responsible for the vocals.

Finally the mastering was done in Sweden by re-known mastering engineer Peter In de Betou.

HAND-MADE LP BOX

Besides the Cd and LP rewards we have a hand-made LP box for you. We put together a rough prototype just to get an idea of how it will be. This is our top reward and if you select this perk you will receive the box plus the vinyl inside - pus a hidden message in the box!

THE BAND

The Studio

Infinite Loop Music Studio is located in Ioannina, Greece. It was built in 2010 and although it is involved mainly in metal productions, it also has worked on soundtracks for video games and documentaries. Often it collaborates with musicians involved in Greek folk music.
