The Dawoud family from Gaza city in Palestine has two sons who were born with cerebral palsy.
The oldest son Haytham is 29 years old, and suffers from spastic quadriplegia, a type of cerebral palsy that affects all four limbs. He has flexion contracture of the knees which causes these joints to be stiff, making walking and moving very difficult for him.
Hamza is 16 years old, and suffers from ataxic cerebral palsy, he has difficulty in talking and maintaining a balanced gait.
The family has no income at all, since the father is unable to work due to health conditions. The harsh circumstances in Gaza makes this family with special needs particularly vulnerable. They are in dire need of your help! Your kind donations will be used to provide adequate food, medication, physiotherapy, as well as speech, behavioral and psychological therapy. By raising $24 500, we will cover the remaining medical expenses of Haytham & Hamza for the year of 2019.
The medical treatment for cerebral palsy is a long-term treatment, and it is still needed until this day. The approximate monthly expenses for :
- Speech, Behavoural and Psychological Therapy
Costs 16500 EGP (more than $950). Yearly, that's roughly $12,500!
Please donate whatever amount you can. Inshallah, let's give them both a chance at life!
