Campaign Story
I'm trying to raise some money for my brother in-law David. I've known David for the past 18 years and he is one of the funniest, loving and caring people I know.
He has struggled with obesity for many years and after many medical issues (heart attack, high blood pressure, gout, depression, bi-polar) our family took the steps to pay for his gastric by-pass surgery in March 2014. He has lost over 138kg since then, literally half the man he once was. Due to the dramatic weight loss he obviously has a lot of excess skin that we wants to get surgically removed so that he can feel comfortable in his own skin again, and be proud of the body that he has worked so hard for. Just this past week after many months of abdominal pain and stomach tumors (benign), his team of doctors has told him that he has Acute Myeloid Leukemia

He has started his first course of chemotherapy and once that is done, he'll have his blood work checked again to see if the treatment has worked. If not he'll be given another course. His medical plan will only cover the course treatments and the rest he'll have to pay himself. (Blood tests, doctors visits, etc)
This is not the only obstacle that he is facing. He has just recently separated from his wife, hasn't had a solid job in about 5 years and is trying to pick up the pieces of his life. Our family has been blessed that we are able to help him financially every month, but that is soon to end as well as we have nothing more to give. David is a strong believer and knows that God will not give this to him if he can't get through it. Our family prays that you will consider donating something towards this campaign so that David has a chance to live out his life the best way he can. God Bless you all.
