David & Allen’s Commitment Ceremony

Hello, My name is David Keyes. My partner, Allen and I have been together 4 years and we have been engaged for most of that time. A little about us, Allen and I met over a random place, yes, Craigslist.org. Not the most popular dating site, we know, but it was a match made in heaven destined to find one another. I, David, lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. I was relocating to Florida for a school scholarship I was awarded. I met Allen 3 months before while posting on craigslist to make new friends in my new area. Allen responded, and we were not stop at eachother from the get go. Allen and I literally talked 24/7 for days. We had fallen and fallen hard for one another. When I moved here to Florida, before physically ever meeting Allen, I came home to my new apartment to a flower filled apartment, a big teddy bear and ENORMOUS card from him, welcoming me home. It was completely romantic. Before Allen, I was in a 4 year abusive relationship, that took alot of emotional tolls on me. Allen became my knight in shinning armour and without him I don't know what I would do. Allen and I have discussed becoming domestic partners for years and would love to marry eachother. Unfortunately, there is one little problem. Allen wants a beautiful wedding. He wants to marry and only once, to me, and he wants his day to be as perfect as when we met. I unfortunatly cannot afford such a ceremony, as at this time, I batteling thyroid cancer and heart disease. Its been very difficult working and paying bills ontop of my medical expenses. As recent college graduates with new student loans kicking in, it has become even harder. I would love to give Allen the wedding he wants and deserves as he has given me the one greatest thing any one could ever ask for, unconditional love. This is why I am here today, I unfortunatly cannot afford such an extravagent wedding, so I am I trying to reach out to the world, despite the current talk on same sex marriage. We are wanting to infront of friends and family, a private announcemnt of our committment to one another. Despite personal opinions, we are asking for support in funding our special day.
