Dave needs your help

Dear Friends and Donors,

Dave needs your help. He has tumour at the back of his brain. Dave is three years old, and he has brain cancer.

Medulloblastoma. That’s the name for Dave’s condition. Of course, at three years of age, he doesn’t know that, or that the symptoms he is experiencing are anything but normal.

He doesn’t know that being listless, or the headaches he’s getting are unusual. He doesn’t know that falling over so much is not normal for a kid his age.

He doesn’t know that his survival depends on aggressive treatment. Treatment that costs a lot of money.

But Dave needs that treatment. Even though he’s only three year old, he needs major surgery to remove as much of the tumour as possible. His parents - they need Dave to get that treatment - the right treatment - too.

Dave’s chance of survival are good. If he can get the treatment. Not guaranteed, but good. Better than ever!

Dave - and his loving parents - they’re fighters. They will do whatever they can. Whatever is necessary. But they need help.

We all know what three year old kids are like. We all know they are individuals, that their personalities are just starting to emerge. That they are just starting out. Starting to explore, starting to experience life.

Dave needs your help to live his life. To experience growing up. To do all those things that children take for granted. That we take for granted.
