Das Nest survival package

Dear friends, family, chosen family, travelers and all rest of the world :)

Unfortunately, the current situation is affecting our little hostel, home for many, melting pot: DAS NEST.

We are facing some difficult consequences in the long run:
Hungarian borders have been shut and are, for tourists, until unknown notice. Most people had to use their savings and their holidays in those last weeks, which means that we will not just lose the summer tourism season, but looking at tough times far beyond a quarantine.

Still, we opened our doors, for people in need, stuck travelers, staff members and friends, who actually lost their apartments.

With Das Nest we do not just finance the hostel itself, we take part in several art projects, non-profit events and festivals. Das Nest is a strong pillar of all these projects and places: Hintalo Bar, Painters Palace, Vadvirág Teaház, Taka Tuka Island Festival, Ubikeklektik, Ubik-Farm, Kolorado , Goulash Disko , Fiatalok a Magyar Videkert and more. We do not have to mention that this vicious circle results in problems for all of the above.

The sad fact is, we do not get any governmental support and our savings our slowly but surely ... running out.

Therefore, we kindly ask you for your help and support! Together we can keep Das Nest running and can keep on hosting travelers, old and new friends in the future, to keep on supporting the other projects, to have a safe working place for our employees.

Our mission for now is that we actually work with paid local staff instead of having volunteers.
