We would like to ask the metal detecting community to help us assist Darren and his family.

Daren MG metal detects and is well known all over the world a treasure hunter although often there is at present simply no treasure, were not talking shipwrecks we are talking beaches and rivers.

Oh and this doesn't cover all the rubbish he collects from the beaches, rivers and sea. Plastic and all sorts of unsavoury things we all pollute the world with.

I say treasure yes rings and things but life is never that simple.

Darren supports his family with his endeavours and recently finds have been very sparse, he certainly does not like asking for help but i have offered to try.

Yes we run a repair shop and hope to either repair his machine, source a replacement new or old or do both, we will provide the postage and labour required free of charge and if additional funds provide additional goods to Darren to help with his endeavours, the goods will be at cost.

Ask around and do not listen to the trolls this is a good cause for a lovely family who just need some help,

If you wish to know more Darren will tell you please do not speculate! The recent group trolling of the campaign throughout Facebook escalating to many group pages objecting to the fundraising is frankly appalling and those responsible in the UK should be ashamed of yourselves.

So whats the issue, apart form the lack of finds, money, Darrens machine has been playing up lots and needs attention and is potentially at the end of its life, without a machine he cannot search, hunt for more treasure, no treasure no food and no roof over the family's heads.

Darren is in Russia, he was from the UK originally, to deal with all the trolls that have appeared today JB amongst others.

The machine is not going to cost oost 2300 pounds, no the repair wont cost 2300! , we hope to provide all the gear he requires and if possible equip him with better equipment generally,

Darren ideally needs a new machine and the old one if possible repairing as a spare he cannot afford to buy one or get his repaired as it should be.

We would like with your help to supply a new machine and renovate his old one as a spare back to a usable condition if this is not viable ensure he has some redundancy so he can continue working and helping his family, we cannot do this without you.

Darren is with his family and lives abroad. wish to help please do we appreciate your assistance, do not want to help think your missing out or just feel jealous for some or unknown reason you should try walking a mile in Darrens shoes. As for the mass trolling of this campaign those involved should be ashamed of themselves!

The original goal for detector equipment and additional repairs was 2300 UK pounds.

As we are processing this money for relevant goods in relation to Darren's treasure hunting, we have to declare this as taxable income, this we will cover the VAT element we cannot avoid and will be declared.
